Every year the Tourism Bureau releases a calendar celebrating a particular facet of Taiwan’s beauty. For 2013, the theme was Taiwan’s fruits with different seasonal fruit chosen to represent each of the 12 months. Accompanying the 12 photos were 12 short captions, all written in a playful and thoroughly colloquial style. Perfectly capturing the creativity and word play of the original Chinese in English was Babel’s translation team.
